May 2009
Welcome to the May edition of The Word Around.
While you're out admiring the bluebells, make sure you avoid contact with anyone who has recently returned from a holiday in Mexico.
We're starting a mission, to become advocates for all things family-friendly in Nottingham, so look out for articles and features with a family focus in issues to come. We want to check out what Nottingham has to offer typical families - families who do all the living, doing, seeing and spending in this fair city and make the world go around.
Our toddler and baby photo competition is still in full swing, so if you want your child's likeness to feature in the July issue, make sure you get your entries in. You could win some very cool stuff indeed, so don't miss out. We've got tickets to Britain's Got Talent at the arena, as well as studio tours at Trent FM. There are meals to win and more, so don't miss out.
Our registered reader numbers are growing steadily and we're looking forward to being able to offer our readership a lot more in the way of offers, prizes and interesting reading in the future. If you haven't taken the time to register with us yet, please do. It's free, easy and it's a win-win proposition for you. We want nothing in return, apart from your patronage.
We're keen to feature local businesses, who's products and services are of a high standard and we're working to secure special offers for our readers from these businesses. The more value we can deliver to you, our readers, the happier we will be. We welcome any feedback, so if there's something you'd like to see featured in the magazine, please send an email to steve.edmonds@thewordaround.com, with your request. We'll do all we can to accommodate you. |
