Summer is approaching, which means weddings are approaching
People always say wedding preparation is stressful, but I never realised just how much, until I watched the film ‘Bride Wars’. Honestly the amount of organising we ladies have to do for a wedding is unbelievable.

There is the venue to book, the flowers, table arrangement, invites, the dress fittings, I think you get the jist. However don’t let the wedding preparations ruin your big day. You should enjoy it just as much as the groom. Why not give your other half a list of chores to complete -that’s the least he can do. While he’s out, make sure you ladies pamper yourself. Why not book yourself a day at the spa, where you will get the full attention you deserve, trust me, you will be much more relaxed for the big day.
Make sure you book everything you want in advance, the venue, dress fittings, flowers, invitations and confirm all bookings in advance as this is one less stress. You may find it helpful to go to a wedding fayre, to get more ideas about flowers, colour schemes for table arrangements, designs for wedding invitations and much more. This will give you an opportunity to, not only have a fun day out with your partner, but also explore what ideas you both have for the big day. When it’s time for the hen night, let your hair down and have as much fun as possible.
You may have come across a guest book. This offers the guests a chance to express their thoughts on the big day in the book. Though this may be another thing to organise, with plenty of forward planning, it shouldn’t be too much hassle. The book can be left at the entrance of the reception venue, so the people who wish to contribute can.
What cake to have? A traditional or modern cake? Some couples find this to be the centre piece for their wedding, but why not be different and have a chocolate fountain as the centre piece for your wedding, as well as a cake. With chocolate being a girl’s best friend, second to diamonds, the fountain would work a treat. The chocolate fountain provides an irresistible aroma and cascading luxury of Belgian chocolate to tantalise all who see it.
Do you believe in love at first sight? You will as soon as you see your dream wedding dress. You will know it’s the one. Do go for plenty of fittings to ensure you feel comfortable on the big day. As for make-up, why not book yourself in for a few make over’s to decide which colours suit you best. Take a friend along, as this will not seem like a chore but a girlie day out.
While trying out different make-up styles, also try a range of hairstyles, from curly to straight or having it up in a bun with a few curls dropping. You will not realise which hairstyles look nice with the dress until you try them. Take a look at a few of the latest celeb trends, to see what’s in this season. As for making sure everyone is on time on the big day, why not give them an ‘order of day’ card in their invitation. This just confirms the schedule for the day and it unconsciously hints you have set timings for the day.
The rest will fall in to place...
